The Oblongs

The Oblongs is an adult- and teen-oriented American animated television series. It is partially based on a cast of characters presented in Angus Oblong's children's book Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Kids. They Might Be Giants created and performed the theme song for the show. The television series was produced by Jobsite Productions and Mohawk Productions in conjunction with Warner Bros. Television. The Oblongs ran on The WB from April1, 2001 to May20,2001, and subsequently on Adult Swim from August25, 2002 to October20, 2002 for a total of thirteen episodes. There have been rumors of a possible comeback of a series with new episodes on Adult Swim, but no official information has been released. On October4,2005, the DVD release of all thirteen episodes of The Oblongs was announced.
