The Six Million Dollar Man
The Six Million Dollar Man follows a former astronaut with bionic implants working for OSI. During pre-production, the series was based on Martin Caidin's novel Cyborg. After three TV movies in 1973, The Six Million Dollar Man ran on ABC from 1974 through 1978. Lee Majors, a 1970s pop culture phenomenon, played Steve Austin. The Bionic Woman lasted 1976-1978. Between 1987 and 1994, several TV movies starred both eponymous characters.
