The Way We Were
Xiao Qing is an exchange student in the United States. She takes great pleasure in her father's work as the daughter of a heroic prosecutor back home. Her father is an untainted arbitrator of justice, and Xiao Qing lives her life according to the same beliefs. Shu Che is a classmate of Xiao Qing. Unlike Xiao Qing's father, Shu Che's father is not as pure. Shu Che's father has been involved in a number of questionable deals as a government official. He has opened many avenues for his son through these transactions. But Shu Che isn't having any of it. Xiao Qing and Shu Che fall in love when they meet. However, when their fathers dispute in court, the lovers' relationship is irrevocably altered. As they fight between responsibility and love, the two understand that they will never be the same as they once were.
