The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles is an American television series that aired on ABC between 4 March 1992 and 24 July 1993. Multiple places in Wilmington, North Carolina including the UNCW campus were used for filming. The series was produced by Amblin Entertainment, Lucasfilm, and Paramount Network Television. The series focuses on the boyhood and adolescence of the fictional character Indiana Jones and stars Sean Patrick Flanery, Corey Carrier, George Hall, and Harrison Ford. George Lucas, who also conceived, co-wrote, and executive produced the Indiana Jones feature films, devised and executive produced the series. The series was cancelled in 1993 due of its enormous costs. In an attempt to continue the series after its discontinuation, four made-for-television films were filmed between 1994 and 1996. The series was reedited into 22 television films titled The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones in 1999.
