The 1993 Fox Network drama anthology series TriBeCa was conceived by David J. Burke, co-produced by Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, and produced by TriBeCa Productions. Me Phi Me delivered "Keep It Going," the series' theme song, as an alternative hip hop musician. Laurence Fishburne earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Martin McHenry in the season's premiere, "The Box." Fox Broadcasting Company aired the series, which was set in the TriBeCa district of lower Manhattan and was renowned for attracting "actors, screenwriters, and filmmakers of extraordinary caliber." Casts featured Eli Wallach, Kevin Spacey, Kathleen Quinlan, Melanie Mayron, Judith Malina, Carl Lumbly, Richard Lewis, Carol Kane, Debbie Harry, Dizzy Gillespie, and Danny Aiello, in addition to series regulars Philip Bosco and Joe Morton. Among the series' directors and screenwriters were, among others, David J. Burke, Hans Tobeason, John Mankiewicz of the renowned Mankiewicz family, Barry Primus, Bryan Spicer, Jeffrey Solomon, and various actors.
