UFO Hunters is an American TV show that debuted on The History Channel on January 30, 2008, and ran for three seasons. It was made by Motion Picture Production Inc. Jon Alon Walz was the show's Executive Producer. He was in charge of selling the show to History Channel after a bidding war between History Channel and Sci-Fi Channel for the rights to the show. The idea for the show was tested in a part of the UFO special "Deep Sea UFOs" on the History Channel in 2006. Two of the final four cast members were in that part, which was made by Motion Picture Production Inc. The 2005 History Channel special with the same name as "UFO Hunters" did not inspire "UFO Hunters." The show's slogan is "Hoax or History?" The show shouldn't be confused with a Sci-Fi Channel special with the same name and a similar theme called UFO Hunters. It premiered at the same time and day as the show, but it only had one episode. In the US, only the first two seasons were put on DVD in the order they were shown on TV. But the format wasn't released in wide screen. It was only released in full screen. History Channel put out the third and final season on DVD in the UK, but the episodes were put out in the wrong order based on when they were shown on TV.
