Maya, the first black Director of Public Prosecutions, is followed by Undercover. She discovers that her husband Nick has been lying to her for years, just as she is preparing to take up the role and her life comes under great public scrutiny. Nick was a daring and devoted undercover cop twenty years ago, infiltrating organizations deemed dangerous to society due to their political ideals. Nick created a false past for himself, and now, with his wife unaware and his guilt killing him, his hidden identity may jeopardize the incoming Director of Public Prosecutions.
