Wacky Races
Hanna-Wacky Barbera's Races is an American animated television series. The series, based on the 1965 slapstick comedy film The Great Race, pits 11 different automobiles against each other in various road rallies across North America, with each driver vying for the title of "World's Wackiest Racer." From September 14, 1968 until January 4, 1969, CBS aired Wacky Races. Each episode included two distinct races, for a total of seventeen episodes. With twenty-three people and animals divided across 11 race cars, the cartoon had an exceptionally large number of regular characters. Reruns of the series may presently be found on Cartoon Network's classic animation network Boomerang many times per day.
