White Lies
The Swedish television channel TV3 broadcast the soap opera "Vita Logner." The action of the story centered on the personal lives of the people who worked at the hospital and their families in the fictitious town of Stromsvik. After TV3's soap opera Vanner och fiender was sold to Kanal5 in 1997, TV3 had their first major success with the soap opera Vita logner. The show has included a number of well-known Swedish actors and actresses, including Alexander Skarsgard, Petra Hultgren, Anna Jarphammar, and Maud Adams, among others. Charlotte Perrelli had a significant role as Milla Svensson throughout 1997-1998. It wasn't until after Kanal5 had purchased the rights to Vanner och fiender and TV3 had observed the enormous amount of success the show was having for the station that they made the decision to make Vita logner in order to compete for the same time slot.
