Xavier: Renegade Angel

Xavier: Renegade Angel is an American CGI fantasy-comedy TV show that was created by John Lee, Vernon Chatman, Jim Tozzi, and Alyson Levy. Lee and Chatman also made Wonder Showzen together. The show was made by PFFR, and Cinematico did the animation for it. It first aired on Adult Swim at midnight on November4,2007, and on the Adult Swim website on November1, 2007. Style-wise, Xavier has a nonlinear, confusing plot that follows the funny thoughts of Xavier, a humanoid pseudo-shaman and spiritual seeker who moves around. The show is known for using a lot of black comedy, surrealist, and absurdist humor that criticizes ideas and is shown through a psychedelic, New Age lens. The show is also usually rated TV-MA for intense, graphic, and often bloody violence, strong sexual content, use of racially/ethnically offensive language, grotesque depictions, and content that is "too morbid and too hard to understand for young viewers." The first episode of Xavier: Renegade Angel aired on November4,2007, and the last one was on April16,2009. There were a total of 20 episodes, but the show was canceled because it didn't get enough viewers.
