Tientsin Mystic
In the early 1900s, Tianjin (Tientsin) experienced frequent flooding and drowning. Nevertheless, the only person in town who could stay underwater long enough to commit the crime was the police department's underwater recovery squad captain Guo De You, who was the prime suspect when a local shipping magnate's body was discovered chained to a statue on a riverbed. Ding Mao, the son of a wealthy businessman, attempted to prove Guo's guilt, but his own forensic discovery and another strange drowning in the same area cast doubt on his initial opinion. They worked along with Gu Ying, a spirit medium, and Xiao Lan Lan, a news reporter, to uncover the truth about a 20-year-old tragedy in which an evil cult terrorized the city. Once again, the cult was wreaking devastation. For the squad to stop their rise, they must examine the mysterious and mind-boggling cases in their community.
