Hacksaw Ridge
Desmond T. Doss, a medic in the United States Army during World War II who served during the Battle of Okinawa, became the first conscientious objector in the history of the United States to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. He did so because he refused to take part in the killing of other people.
