Misty Button
With a story about a robbery gone wrong, this dark comedy reflects the freewheeling émigré culture of young men living in the Irish lairs of Brooklyn and the Bronx. They are short on work and money but long on heavy drinking. Eoin and James are going to the racetrack for a fee on behalf of Timmy Thomas. James, who has just burned his last bridge and now doesn't have a job or a wife, is going with them. Two guys who don't know how to play cards get into trouble when they try to sleight of hand. A group of gangsters are going to have to pay them a lot. Bold woman who likes the sound of Irish music and wants to spend money on James comes up with a new idea.
