Westfront 1918
As a group of German infantrymen from the First World War, these men live out their days in the trenches of France. They have a few moments of fun and relief in a village behind the lines, but most of the time, they live in fear as the attacks on and from the French army ebb and flow. Karl, one of the men, goes home on leave and sees how his family has been ruined by the war. He comes back to the front lines just in time to face a huge attack by French tanks.
