Port Protection
Port Protection is home to the few people who have chosen to live a different existence in a remote Alaskan hamlet, where the survival of the individuals and the community cannot be sustained without the other. These people have chosen to leave behind conventional society. There is a lot riding on this. Both the land and the seas that surround Port Protection are harsh and unforgiving; the ground is rough and unforgiving, while the seas are cold and cruel. There is a satisfaction that comes with taking risks that goes far deeper than simply surviving; it is a world that is beautiful and free, but yet has the safety of community and is unrestricted by bureaucracy. The residents of Port Protection have to blaze their own trails to ensure their own existence because there are no established pathways.
