Sledge Hammer!
Sledge Hammer! is a New World Television satirical police sitcom that aired on ABC for two seasons from 1986 to 1988. Alan Spencer devised the show, which stars David Rasche as Inspector Sledge Hammer, a ridiculous spoof of the usual "police on the edge" figure. Al Jean and Mike Reiss, widely known for their work on The Simpsons, wrote for the show and served as story editors.
