Raining Stones
The narrative of a guy who is dedicated to his family and his religion is told in this Ken Loach film. Bob, proud but poor, wants his daughter child to have a lovely (and expensive) new outfit for her First Communion. In his haste to raise the necessary funds, his obstinacy and resolve throw him into problems as he resorts to increasingly dubious methods. In his headlong pursuit of that aim, he risks all he loves and cherishes, including his cherished family and even his immortal soul and salvation.
